Analyzing the relationship between technology and spirituality.

Technology -Technology is the application of scientific knowledge to the practical aims of human life or, as it is sometimes phrased, to the change and manipulation of the human environment.

Dharma-the eternal and inherent nature of reality, regarded in Hinduism as a cosmic law underlying right behavior and social order.

Let us start by asking ourselves these questions.

How do technology and spirituality relate to one another?

Does the desire to create technology exist within the human spirit?

How does God feel about technology?

Do spirit beings use technology?

How can technology enhance spirituality?

How can spirituality enhance technology?

How is technology being used as a tool to spread spiritual knowledge?

In my journey as a human being I have always been mighty fascinated with technology. I love tech! The thing that I find fascinating about technology is how intelligent it is. Technology makes tasks like sharing information easy and has worked to connect humanity on a global scale. I speculate that technology is an extension of the great intellect found in the human spirit. This untapped potential has always been present in the human spirit, but only through the avenue of time has it been able to express itself.

I believe it was man’s destiny to become technologically advanced and what we see now is simply an extension of what has always been present in man’s spirit. I believe there is a definite link between technology and spirituality.

Metaphysically technology can be viewed as a tool that allows form to more efficiently execute its function. It decreases the amount of time that it takes to complete a task, and can even enhance physicality by empowering the senses. Think of digital multimedia for example, the eyes are stimulated by moving imagery in order to stimulate the mind and even the heart. How can technology enhance the function of the spirit? Many of the awakenings that I have experienced have been a direct result of me coming in contact with literature and multimedia that I have found through digital content found on the internet.

If it had not been for the internet, I would have never viewed such insightful content that has awakened the infinite stores of creativity within me. Technology has been a huge tool for enhancing spirituality for us humans. Even music has utilized technology to create spiritual experiences for many people.

I speculate that technology also exists in the spiritual world as well. I have not actual experience with this level of technology, but my intuition tells me that it exist. I always asks myself these types of questions. Do angels use technology?

Do demons use technology?

Are there worlds in the spirit realm that use technology?

What would technology in the spirit world look like?

How can we access spiritual technology?

There is a scripture that I learned a while back that continues to guide my thinking on this topic. The book of Hebrews speaks of the material world being a shadow of the spiritual world.

“They serve as a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven.“ (Hebrews 8:5)

Particularly the part that is talking about a “copy and shadow of what is in heaven”

I speculate that the technology that we currently use and experience first originated in the spiritual world. How this happens I believe is by the function of “inspiration”. Humans have been inspired by higher powers to create the technology we see and use today. In a prior post I explored the idea of quantum entanglement. I analyzed the possibility of us being “entangled” with God in a similar way that subatomic particles are “entangled” with one another regardless of how far apart they are from one another. It may be possible that the ideas presented in the spiritual world may be “entangled” or connected with the ideas presented in the material world. This may explain how new technologies come about as humans are inspired by advanced ideas that can be cultivated and turned into material objects in the form of technology.

In part 2 of this post we will speculate how entities such as angels and demons use technology and the possibility of advanced civilizations existing in higher dimensions.
