Identity
A. Identity Crisis- One of the main problems in the church today is that Christians don't know who they are. In this lesson we will be talking about identity crisis. We will identify the issue so that we can move towards a solution.
B. He became you so that you could become him- It is of vital importance for the Christian to know that Jesus took on the frailties of human flesh and died a painful, excruciating death so that we could inherit his divine identity and His relationship with the Father.
Sonship
A. What it means to be a Son of God- understanding who we are as sons of God is of paramount significance if we are to have a transforming, long lasting relationship with the Father. In fact the basis of our relationship with The Father lies on the basis that God is our Father and that we are His Son’s. The theme of adoption can be found all throughout the old and New Testament of the bible. God desires to graft us into the family of God so that we can enjoy the fellowship, communion, and relationship The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit have enjoyed eternity past.
Christ In you
A. The reality of Christ in You- It is very important that as children of God we understand the closeness of our God or how intimate He is towards us. God desires for his children to understand that He is not up in the clouds somewhere, but that He dwells within their minds. It is also important for God's children to understand that Christ is the substance of the new man. Everything the new man is and becomes finds his origin in Christ.
Inheritance/Promises of God
A. What is our inheritance as sons? - As Sons of God we have been given a glorious inheritance from God because He is our Father and whatever is His belongs to us. It is important for the Christian to know what He has access to as a son in Christ so that he can live out the life God desires and intended for him to have. God has given us access to a portion of the inheritance that we can access and enjoy now while still on Earth, but He has also saved a large portion of our inheritance for us in heaven. In this lesson we will learn what this inheritance is all about and how to access it now.
B. What has God promised us? - The bible tells of multiple accounts where God gives a promise to His people and they are challenged to have faith and believe His word and His ability to fulfill those promises. Clinging on to God’s promises and believing His word is crucial to the Christian walk as trust is the basis of the relationship between God and His children. In the lesson we will identify what God promises and how to have faith in those promises even if our current experiences on Earth seem to contradict those promises.
Kingdom Of God
A. For the Kingdom is within- The Kingdom of God is spoken about by Jesus on several occasions in the New Testament. He taught that the kingdom of heaven was not so much about a physical reign, but was more of the spiritual reality and understanding that God reigns within the hearts of men. Jesus taught that the Kingdom of Heaven was within. He gave several parables alluding to what the Kingdom was all about, and in this short series we will talk and explore this Kingdom that Jesus talked about.
Holy Trinity
A. The family of God- In this short teaching we will cover the reality and truth of the Holy Trinity. God has chosen to reveal Himself to us in three persons: As Father, As Son, and as The Holy Spirit. In this teaching we will explore a little bit of these three persons of the Holy Trinity and learn how to better relate to them.
Grace
A. It is by grace that you were saved - The Grace of God is not just a teaching that is taught and hopefully remembered by believers. Grace is the underlying basis to the way we relate to God in the new covenant by the blood of Jesus. In this teaching we will explore God’s grace. Students will learn about God’s grace through the person of Jesus Christ. In Christ, we see the heart of the Father in all its fullness and it is of great importance to understand how God sees us now because of Jesus sacrifice on the cross.
B. Grace changes everything - When we start to truly understand grace it changes every aspect of our lives. It changes how we live, how we see life, and how we relate to others. In this teaching we will learn how and why Grace Changes Everything.
Origin/Fatherhood of God
A. Where did we originate? - We all came from somewhere right? In this teaching we will address mankind’s common origin in God. No matter what culture, race, or religion a man grows up in all men can trace their origin back to God. An understanding of concept changes the way we see each other in a way that we grow to see each other as family instead of strangers who have nothing in common.
B. God and Father of all – All throughout the scriptures we see God reveal Himself as a Father over the nations. When Jesus walked the Earth He went around revealing God to the people as a Father who cares for them and loves them unconditionally. Relating to God as a Father is very important for people to grow into having an intimate close relationship with God. In this teaching we will learn more about God’s Fatherly nature and what it ultimately means for us.
Value
A. Do you know how precious you are? – In this teaching we will talk about our value in the eyes of the Lord. Jesus came to teach us that God loves us and that we are valuable in His eyes beyond measure. So, do you know how precious you are?
